Resource Centre

On 27th October 2018, after many years of hard work and planning, Special Help 4 Special Needs opened it’s first Resource Centre for everyone to access and use.

The Grand Opening of The Special Help 4 Special Needs Resource Centre was attended by friends, family and a number of individuals who have used the services of Special Help 4 Special Needs. The Resource Centre was kindly opened by Yvonne Newbold; a parent, author of “The Special Parent’s Handbook” and campaigner, as well as being a friend of Mark’s.

SO WHAT DOES THE NEW RESOURCE CENTRE HAVE.

The Idea of the Centre is to provide a range of services, including a hub for people to gather. In addition to the ongoing 1:1 support for individuals with neurodiverse issues, we can now offer the following:

  • Groups

Having the Resource Centre enables us to provide a range of groups without the worry of finding premises. Presently, these groups include a Dads/Male Carers ASD Awareness Course, and a Teenage Keeping Safe Course for teenagers with neurodiverse issues. The aim will be to expand upon these groups to include Anger Management and other general activity groups.

  • Training

The Centre and its facilities make it easier to provide a range of training, both within the centre and online. For the full range please see our Training Page.

  • Resources & Books

We sell a range of books and also provide individualised resources, including schedules for parents/carers and professionals to order and purchase.  We are also developing a Resource and Toy Library for people to join and use.

  • A place for people to meet and talk.

Whether it is for 1:1 work, a meeting, training or group sessions, a one off event or regular meetings, then ask us what we have and book a place.

SO WHATEVER YOUR NEED, PLEASE FEEL FREE TO CONTACT US ABOUT OUR SERVICES AND SEE WHAT WE CAN DO FOR YOU.
